How Our Made-to-Order LED Light Boxes Are Made in the UK

Every Lids Tops and Tails light is made to order in the UK. That means each piece begins with a specific design rather than coming from a shelf of mass-produced stock.

1. Preparing the design

We prepare the artwork so the important shapes, colours and details translate clearly into an illuminated display. Each design has its own proportions, which is why exact dimensions vary from one light to another.

2. 3D-printing the structure

The main structure is 3D-printed for the individual design. Small lights measure up to 250 × 250 mm, while XL versions measure up to 340 × 320 mm where the product listing offers that option.

3. Installing the lighting

Premium-quality LED strip lighting is installed inside the light box to create an even, vivid glow. Some products may include an extra lighting feature; for example, our Wizz Air design has a dual-colour back.

4. Adding the controls and power supply

Each order includes a remote control, all required cabling and a 12V plug selected for the delivery country. UK orders receive a UK plug, US orders a US plug and EU orders an EU plug.

5. Final checks and dispatch

We check the finished light before packing it for delivery. Typical production and dispatch time is 1–2 weeks, although orders are often ready sooner. Every light also has a one-year warranty from purchase.
